Squamish Tim Hortons shut down after employee tested positive for coronavirus


A Tim Hortons restaurant in Squamish, British Columbia, is closed after an employee recently tested positive for coronavirus, the coffee and donut chain told the Daily Hive.The location at 38930 Progress Way along the Sea to Sky Highway is popular with locals as well as passing drivers on the Vancouver to Whistler route.

“We wish the employee a full recovery,” a Tim Hortons statement via email said.

Other restaurant workers are self-isolating with pay until the incubation period for the virus has passed, the restaurant chain said.

The Squamish Tim Hortons will remain closed until they can be thoroughly cleaned and staffed with team members from other nearby locations.
