Sources – Big Ten shoots the college football fall season


Big Ten Conference presidents and chancellors voted on Tuesday to postpone all fall sports seasons, including football, in hopes of playing in the spring, sources confirmed to ESPN on Tuesday.The league is expected to make an official announcement later Tuesday after briefing its players and coaches.

On Sunday, ESPN first announced that the Big Ten presidents, following a meeting on Saturday, were set to cancel the fall sports season, and they wanted to assess whether the college commissioners and presidents and the chancellors of the other Power Five conferences – the ACC, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC – would comply with them.
