SIMON Cowell had a successful six-hour surgery after breaking his back and is recovering well in hospital.
The music mogul, 60, was rushed to hospital last night after falling from his electric bike in Malibu, California.
A spokesperson for the star told us that Simon is “recovering well” after the lengthy procedure.
While the Mirror reports that Simon is “under observation and doing well”.
Simon’s rep told People shortly after the painful incident that it happened in the courtyard of his mansion while he was with his family.
The star’s plush American rug will be familiar to X Factor viewers who watched famous contestants audition in her backyard last year.
They reassured: “He is fine, he is under observation and is in good hands. “
Hours earlier, Simon’s girlfriend Lauren Silverman had also been spotted riding his non-electric bike with their son Eric, six, in Malibu.
Lauren, 43, was seen wearing black leggings and a black t-shirt, with a mask over her mouth and sunglasses.
Meanwhile, Eric wore a helmet, mask and sunglasses to make sure he was protected on all fronts as he rode his bike with his mother.
Meanwhile, Simon is due to return to America’s Got Talent next week, with the first live broadcast scheduled for Tuesday, August 11.
The Britain’s Got Talent star has spent a year getting back into shape after a health crisis.
In December, he recounted how he had dropped four waistlines.
But he lost even more weight while continuing his locked-out healthy diet in Los Angeles.
He decided to act after injuring himself in a fall down the stairs at his London home in October 2017.
At the time, he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
The star attributed his injuries to his unhealthy lifestyle where he “lived like a vampire”, staying awake until 8 a.m. every day.
The bicycle incident comes days after it was revealed that the music mogul would miss the Britain’s Got Talent semi-finals for the first time.
