Serge Aurier could leave Tottenham this summer

Tottenham have rejected an opening offer from AC Milan for right-back Serge Aurier.

Discussions continue between the Spurs and the Serie A team, but the two clubs remain somewhat separate in their assessments.

Bayer Leverkusen are also interested in the Ivorian international, who still has two years on his contract.

Aurier joined Tottenham from Paris Saint-Germain in August 2017 for £ 23million but was left out of the starting lineup for last season’s opener under Mauricio Pochettino.

The 27-year-old thrived under Jose Mourinho when he took over, but he could still be allowed to leave for the right price as Tottenham are in advanced talks with Wolves over a deal to sign defender Matt Doherty.

Spurs are on the hunt for a new right-back this summer and Mourinho likes the experienced Republic of Ireland international.
