Sean Penn confirmed reports that he had married for the third time in a “COVID wedding”, revealing that the ceremony was conducted via the Zoom video conferencing app.

The Milk star, who turns 60 this month, showed off her gold ring during a virtual America’s Late Night interview with Seth Meyers on Monday night.

Revealing that he and his new wife, Leila George, exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony last Thursday, he said: “We had a COVID wedding. By that I mean he was a county commissioner on Zoom, we were home, my two kids and his brother, and we did it that way.

Penn shares daughter Dylan, 29, and son Hopper, 26, with his second wife, actress Robin Wright. He was also previously married to Madonna.

He and George had been dating for four years before exchanging their vows.

His 28-year-old wife is the daughter of actors Vincent D’Onofrio and Greta Scacchi.
