Ride Cycle Club reports coronavirus exposure at two Vancouver studios


A Vancouver film studio chain said guests who worked at two of its locations may have recently been exposed to the coronavirus.Ride Cycle Club said in recent emails to members that one person who tested positive for the coronavirus visited their Kitsilano location four days in August, and that another person who tested positive took a course at its Yaletown location.

Kitsilano classes with exposure warnings are as follows:

  • Wednesday August 5 at 5 p.m.
  • Friday August 7 at noon
  • Sunday, August 9 at 9 a.m.
  • Monday August 10 at 9:30 am

The potential exhibition at the Hamilton Street Studio in Yaletown took place during the 5:15 p.m. class on Wednesday, August 5.

Vancouver Coastal Health “has found our studios to be at low risk of transmission. We ask that you kindly monitor yourself and get tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19, ”the Kitsilano studio manager wrote in the email.

The emails also state that members have received free spin class credit to their account.

Daily Hive first contacted the Ride Cycle Club to ask about these shows on August 13, and followed up on Thursday. The club has yet to respond.
