Razors recalled after customers report skin lacerations: Health Canada

TORONTO – More than 8,000 Ditto brand razors and replacement cartridges have been recalled after customers reported cutting themselves, according to Health Canada. Health Canada released the recall on Tuesday after at least two people suffered “lacerations” while using the product sold at Giant Tiger.

The government agency said the blades “can cut the skin during use, posing a risk of laceration.” Those who purchased the product are urged to immediately stop using the razors and contact Giant Tiger for a refund.

The products concerned are:

4 Ditto 4Blade razors and cartridges. SKU: 959986

Ditto 4Blade refill cartridge. SKU: 959991

5 Ditto 5Blade razors and cartridges. SKU: 959979

5 Ditto 5Blade razors and cartridges. SKU: 959954

10 Ditto Twin Blade razors. SKU: 959951

According to Health Canada, 8,549 affected products were sold from May 2020 to July 2020.
