A new unauthorized biography on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s time in the royal family has raised “fascinating” revelations. The book, Finding Freedom, claims the Duke and Duchess of Sussex set in motion plans for their departure from the firm, dubbed ‘Megxit’, while in Canada and notified the Queen and Prince Charles via email. Royal commentators Katie Nicholl and Emily Andrews joined Channel 5 documentary ‘Meghan & Harry: The New Revelations’ to talk about the ideas on offer.
Ms Andrews added: ‘If they had done this I think the Queen would have been quite shocked and surprised.
“Frankly, that’s not the way it is. ”

She continued, “I think this is a big problem.
“Harry and Meghan didn’t want to keep doing things the way they are.
“The monarchy was not going to change things just for them.
“The monarchy is a super-tanker, it just keeps plowing its own furrow. “
After the meeting, the Queen released a statement giving her full support to the Sussexes as they forge their new life.
The couple officially finished working for the royal family at the end of March.
The couple have announced their initial plans to split their time equally throughout the year between the UK and Canada.
However, before the travel restrictions were implemented, they moved with their son Archie to California to await the pandemic.
Frogmore Cottage will remain the British family home of the Duke and Duchess.
