The Royal Finding Freedom biography reveals how the Queen wanted to make sure Prince Harry understood that despite the pressure of his decision and that of Meghan, he was still supported in the royal family. According to Town & Country, the book explains that she did so during a private lunch between the Queen and Prince Harry on March 1.

At the time, the two decided to take a break from Harry’s last official engagements and spend some time together.
In the book, an assistant described the situation as “no title. Just granny and grandson.

The source said “The Queen has always been one of the most important women in Prince Harry’s life. “

They added that “when they enjoyed a roast lunch, the Queen made it clear to Harry that she would always support him in whatever he decided to do.”

Speaking about the next day’s reunion, a royal source said: ‘The Queen had a lot to say with Harry and now was the perfect time for them both to say their piece.

“When Harry and Meghan announced they wanted to quit, it all happened very quickly and it was very stressful for everyone involved.

“Sunday was the first time the Queen had the chance to speak to Harry on her own and really find out what her plans are. It was a much more relaxed environment and they were both able to express themselves.

But the queen would have been “very sad” not to see Archie, the son of Harry and Meghan.

“This is something that has yet to be resolved. But Harry is also a much loved grandson who has always pleased him.

“She made it very clear to him that he and Meghan are always able to come back if they change their mind and that she will welcome them with open arms.

“I hope the cat has cleared things up and the way forward looks more positive.

“But she wanted to make sure Harry knew there were limits and that the whole setup was reviewed after 12 months.
