Donald Trump’s younger brother was admitted to hospital where he is said to be “very ill”.

President Trump, 74, will travel to New York today to visit Robert Trump in hospital, a senior White House official has confirmed.

The 72-year-old condition and the date of his admission to hospital were not disclosed by the White House.

Speaking about the president, the official said, “He has a very good relationship with his brother and his brother is very special to him.”

Robert Trump reportedly spent at least 10 days in June in the neuroscience intensive care unit at Manhattan’s Mount Sinai Hospital.

After his release from the hospital, he sued his niece and President’s niece Mary Trump for his plans to publish a book on the Trump family.

However, Robert has failed in several legal actions to stop the publication of the book Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man.

Robert argued that Mary Trump violated a non-disclosure agreement she signed with him, the president and their sister, retired Federal Court of Appeal Judge Maryanne Trump Barry.

Mary Trump and her brother are said to have signed the agreement with their uncles and aunt on their share of the estate of Fred Trump Senior, the President and father of Robert Trump, who was also the father of Mary’s father, the late Fred Trump Jr. .
