Yesterday, Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan packed his bags and drove to the airport after a luxury break in St Tropez with his family. The 55-year-old presenter, who is expected to return to work in September, hopped on a plane home before a new quarantine rule came into effect on Saturday.

From tomorrow, people arriving in the UK from France and the Netherlands will be forced to quarantine for 14 days.The government took the decision following an increase in the number of new cases in the country in recent days.

The father of four, Piers, documented his enviable summer vacation in the south of France on Instagram, in view of his 1.2 million followers, and his trip home was no different.

He took to the social media site last night to share a photo with his sons at the airport ahead of their return trip.

Last night, the presenter, who is also the father of adult son Stanley from his first marriage and daughter Elise, eight, with wife Celia Walden, posted a photo of the plane.

He shared a great photo of the sunset from the plane window as it flew over Britain.

“Back to Blighty… amazing sunset,” he wrote alongside the footage.

GMB co-star Richard Arnold joked, “@joancollinsbe will be private,” in the comments section of the post.
