MEDICINE HAT, AB- A person from St. John Paul II School has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Medicine Hat Catholic School Board confirmed the diagnosis on Facebook on Sunday afternoon.

“On Saturday August 29, a case of COVID-19 was diagnosed in an individual from St. John Paul II School. The MHCBE and the school administration have worked closely with Alberta Health Services (AHS) to ensure that the necessary measures are in place to protect all staff and students, ”reads on Facebook.

The Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education says an investigation has been completed and no other staff are required to self-isolate. The student school is expected to go ahead as planned on Monday August 31st.
