He says he was in so much pain after his operation that he thought it was the end and his family was hiding it from him.
Speaking to SiriusXM, Ozzy said, “I didn’t come back to 100%. I’m about 75% there, but the recovery is so slow.
“Spine surgery is bad news, man. I was in such a bad state of pain; I still have a lot of pain. “
“There was a time when I was convinced I was dying,” he added.
“I was in this evil, this pain and this misery. I thought they were all hiding it from me.
“I remember saying to Sharon, ‘You have to level me up. Is it worse than what you did? [to be]? ‘She said,’ No ‘.
“I have given up all pain medication now. ”
Despite his wealth issues, Ozzy says he can’t wait to get back on stage.
He continued, “I can’t wait [to get on stage], but I was talking to Tony Iommi the other day, and he was saying that with the way it’s going with this coronavirus, indoor shows will be a thing of the past. “
He released his latest album Ordinary Man just before the lockdown began
Ozzy believes it helped his recovery.
“This album came out of nowhere and it was so much fun,” he said.
“It was what I needed to come out of my sadness and loss and recovery. “
