OCI cardholders from US, UK, Germany and France can visit India: Home Office


OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) card holders from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany and France, with whom India has signed “air bubble” agreements, will be allowed to check out. travel to the country, the Interior Ministry said on Friday.

Other foreigners from these countries have also been allowed to avail themselves of the Indian visa establishment for business, medical and employment purposes.

According to a notification from the Interior Ministry, Indian citizens have also been allowed to travel to these countries on any type of visa.

“The Ministry of Interior has allowed OCI card holders who belong to countries with which ‘air bubble’ agreements have been finalized by the Ministry of Civil Aviation to enter India,” said a spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior.

India has so far had bilateral air travel arrangements or ‘air bubbles’ with the US, UK, Germany and France during international travel restrictions linked to the pandemic of coronavirus.

Other countries could be included in this program in the future, according to the notification.
