The Gray Bruce Health Unit reported a new positive case of COVID-19 in Gray-Bruce on Friday.And a case that was referred by another health unit is now counted in the official figures for Gray-Bruce, bringing the total number of cases to date to 122. New cases have been added to Kincardine and Saugeen Shores .

There is also a preliminary positive case awaiting confirmation. It will be added to the totals if it is compliant positive and not if confirmed as a false positive, he said in the health unit’s status report on Friday.

The latest cases are the first to be added to the Gray Bruce Health Unit’s case count since July 31.

There are currently four active cases, plus the one awaiting confirmation.

A total of 112 cases have recovered locally, while six were referred to other health services.

No one is currently hospitalized with the virus in Gray-Bruce and there have been no deaths.

Twenty-eight healthcare workers have had the virus and Trillium Court Long-Term Care in Kincardine remains on outbreak precaution after a staff member recorded a low positive test.
