Welcome to Midnight Mania!
By all accounts, Daniel Cormier is working extremely hard to regain his heavyweight title against Stipe Miocic on Saturday night (August 15, 2020) at UFC 252 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The former two-time champion has spoken on several occasions about his commitment and intensity to prove that he is the best man, and we are only days away from this competition.
Also by all accounts – including his! – Cormier loves to eat. After all, he’s the man who earned the sponsorship of Carl’s Jr. after complaining that Derrick Lewis had stolen his Popeye’s opportunity. Because of these questionable eating habits, it’s not uncommon for the 5’11 ” heavyweight to gain weight during the offseason.
In fact, that was the case after his loss to Miocic. Cormier posted the following video earlier today, giving a little behind-the-scenes information about his fitness.
“Little preview of my trip from April to today,” Cormier wrote. “I was on this big boy diet, but today I feel ready to go. It was tough but we got back in shape and ready to fight.
Granted, we didn’t get side-by-side body comparisons, but the difference is clear. Cormier didn’t look healthy in the April flashback, let alone ready to fight for five rounds. Fast forward to modern times, and “DC” looks as fit as it ever was as a heavyweight.
For a high-level analysis, look at Cormier’s teammate Khabib Nurmagomedov, who simply replied to the message: “My big friend.”
The feud between Yair Rodriguez and Zabit Magomedsharipov continues, but will it ever end in a fight?
I try not to judge the tattoos, but… if this “bird” is intentional, it’s hilarious. Otherwise, it’s a shame.
The story behind Beneil Dariush’s incredible punch on Scott Holtzman (watch him!) Is great.
A friend of Beneils’ son told him to try knocking out Holtzman with a spinning fist because he throws him well in UFC 3. He took his advice and won the eighth knockout of the fist back in UFC history pic.twitter.com/1LdDHQzUTb

Derrick Lewis’ saddles have been a running story throughout his career, which cannot be said for most athletes.
Happy Shark Week!
Ever since Michael Chandler just knocked out Benson Henderson (from Southpaw?!?), Then maybe he’s a good man to listen to regarding building explosive power.
Slips, rips and knockout clips
Hitting with a kick works well or terribly. There is rarely a happy medium.
” TO ABANDON! “
Haraguchi pulled his weight back really well, creating a really strong lead hook.
If you don’t find this funny or cute or at least vaguely interesting, please opt out of my column.
Midnight music: Blood on the slopes is fantastic overall, but I admit this track just popped up while I had some shuffle music.
Sleep well Maniacs! More martial arts craze is still going on.
