Meghan Markle’s ‘pomp’ comment on Kate Middleton years before joining the royal family

When Meghan Markle stood in St George’s Chapel and took her wedding vows, she became a princess and began her royal duty. Before taking on the role of Duchess of Sussex, Meghan had a successful career, including a starring role in legal drama Suits.

She also led her popular lifestyle The Tig, which had thousands of followers, and spoke and campaigned for causes close to her heart.

Unlike the Royal Family, who must remain silent on key issues, Meghan has never been afraid to speak her mind and share her perspective in her interviews – and she has even made a comment on the Princesses .

Like everyone else in the world, Meghan couldn’t escape the royal wedding fever when Kate Middleton married Prince William.

Long before Meghan met Kate, she shared her take on her royal wedding

Three years later, she opened up about the celebration during an interview with Princess Alia Al-Senussi, a descendant of Libyan royalty.

She wrote: “Little girls dream of being princesses. For my part, I was talking about She-Ra, princess of power.

“For those of you unfamiliar with the ’80s cartoon benchmark, She-Ra is He-Man’s twin sister, and a sword-wielding rebel royal known for her strength. We’re definitely not talking about Cinderella here.

Meghan hadn’t met Kate when she did the princess interview

But she went on to explain how this fascination with princesses doesn’t end when kids get older.

She writes: “Adult women seem to retain this childhood fantasy. Just look at the pomp and circumstances surrounding the royal wedding and the endless conversation about Princess Kate.

Who would have thought that a few years later, she would organize her own royal wedding on her own after falling in love with a prince.

And there would be endless conversations about Princess Meghan.

She discussed the fascination around Kate’s wedding

There have been countless fallout rumors between Meghan and Kate, which have been fueled by the publication of a new book on the Sussexes.

In their Finding Freedom biography, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claim that the two royal women have had a strained relationship from the start.

They say it wasn’t a falling out as such, more that they were never close because they were so different.

Harry introduced his then-girlfriend Meghan to his brother and Kate at Kensington Palace a few months after their relationship began.

However, the book says Kate is an “extremely guarded person” who keeps a tight group of friends.

But Kate’s daughter, Charlotte, has helped ease the tension between women due to Meghan’s ‘adoration’ for the little princess.
