Megan Thee Stallion went out of her way to prove that some mistakes on Twitter were wrong today. Rapper “WAP” posted (and later deleted) a photo of her stitched foot on Instagram with a caption for those who said she was lying. “Lol what I’ve learned from pretty much the majority of people on social media is that you all like to hear bad news before good news, a lie spreads faster than the truth, and you really believe to the shit YOU make up… kicked the backs of my feet because when I got hit I was walking FACING BACK, ”she wrote. “Why would I lie to get shot?” From the moment she announced that she had been shot on July 12 in Los Angeles, the 25-year-old was greeted with skepticism, jokes and sheer indecency online. After images of her and her feet at the club were posted on Twitter on August 17, she was criticized for coming out so soon after the shooting and during a pandemic. The trolls went too far and tried to pretend she lied about it all.

“Why are you so upset that I don’t want to be sad in bed?” She continued in her post. “Why are you upset that I can walk?” I had my stitches 2 weeks ago and was ready to go celebrate WAP number 1… I don’t usually talk about internet bullshit but you are all so sick! God was really watching over me and I healed so well! Not to be all, “If a rapper did it,” but that conversation would probably have a different tone if a man walked away from a shoot and immediately went to number 1. Well, there you go, weirdos. “Sorry I’m not as sad and miserable as a lot of you lol,” she finished. “But I continue to be Megan Thee Mf STALLION. “
