“What’s unfortunate for me and the situation is that I’m literally going to go on a date with someone – not even a date – just meet someone and have lunch and all. suddenly it’s written like ‘oh, his new adventure, and oh, he’s playing two women at the same time,’ Green added. “And it’s like no, I literally spent one time with each of these women. I’m not playing anyone. My life is much more under a microscope than someone else’s.

Despite the increased publicity, Green says he and Fox have separated amicably.

“I think it’s going as well as it can get. There is no regulation on this subject. There is no way to do it right or to do it wrong, ”he explained. “We learn as we go. The important thing for us is to communicate as much as possible. ”

And after spending nearly a decade together, Green has reaffirmed that he wants Fox and their three sons to be happy.

“No one wants to be around someone who is unhappy, nothing good comes of it. We take it day after day, ”he said. It’s crazy, it happened at an unfortunate time that no one could have predicted with the quarantine and the virus and all that. The news cycle is a little bigger than what we were prepared for. “
