Marcus Morris denies deliberately stepping on Luka Doncic’s ankle in Game 5 win

Marcus Morris took to Twitter to deny that he deliberately stepped on Luka Doncic’s sprained left ankle in the Los Angeles Clippers 154-111 win over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 5.The Clippers now lead the series 3-2.

The incident took place in the third quarter, with Morris’s foot landing on the back of Doncic’s left foot and knocking his shoe off.

“I play this game with a certain respect for myself and the other players. To think that I would try to hurt someone is crazy to me. 10 years against the best. I show good character and hard work. I compete and leave every game there, ”Morris tweeted.

Morris followed up with another tweet, writing “Basketball has never been so serious about trying to hurt someone. I don’t apologize for the shit because I know what I put in this game day in and day out. It was a mistake. Competition is the reason I play. ”

Luka Doncic appeared skeptical in his post-match comments.

“I just hope it wasn’t intentional, but each person is going to have their own thoughts. Just move on, ”Doncic said.
