Manitoba reports 18 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday


Public health officials identified 18 new cases of COVID-19 in Manitoba on Sunday morning, the province said on Twitter.The new figures bring the total number of laboratory-confirmed positive and probable cases in the province to 435.

Six people were hospitalized with complications from COVID-19 in Manitoba as of Friday. Five are in intensive care.

Officials did not release any further details of the new cases on Sunday.

Online case data on the number of tests performed and the number of people hospitalized will be updated on Tuesday, after the long weekend, the province said.

The death toll from COVID-19 remains at eight. A total of 337 people have recovered.
