VERDICT: United take the wrong player for the right man in Juan Mata
Manchester United cannot yet fully focus on Jadon Sancho in this endless season. Their grueling defeat to Copenhagen was so long it almost failed until the date their season began and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Reds will continue beyond a 60th game.

For the second big match underway, Martial made the breakthrough with his tap feet. It would be rude to regard the penalty United received – their 21st in this term – as luck when Martial was so obviously brought down to earth and the flawless 12-yard Fernandes maintained his immaculate record to make it seven on seven and 11 United. goals.
