Manchester United goalkeeper ready for loan transfer

Matej Kovar is close to leaving Manchester United on loan. United are keen on a number of their young players to gain valuable first-team experience next season with Kovar, the latest name expected to leave on a temporary deal.

MEN Sport understands that two Football League clubs are currently in the process of making a deal for the 20-year-old goalkeeper with Swindon Town, seen as the most likely destination.

Kovar has been a familiar face in first-team training sessions under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but has yet to make his senior debut for United despite his brilliance at youth level, especially for the Under-23s during of their promotion last season.

The Czech shooter trained with United over the weekend, but talks continue on his future with a loan release expected in the coming days.

Kovar would become the third player to leave United on loan this season after Tahith Chong sealed a move to Werder Bremen and Aliou Traore signed a one-year contract with SM Caen.

MK Dons opted on a loan for Max Taylor after trying him with the young center-back who is now set to join another Football League club on trial next week.

United youngster Oliver Denham has also been cleared to stand trial with Cardiff City, although no firm decisions have yet been made on his future.
