United remain with no natural option to play on the attacking right side despite the encouraging form of teenage sensation Mason Greenwood over the past year.
Sancho’s planned arrival will leave Solskjaer with a dilemma ahead of him with one of his all-star trio having to make way to welcome the 20-year-old into the starting lineup.
MEN Sport asked United fans on the matter on Friday afternoon with an overwhelming 71% of the 9,872 responses suggesting Greenwood should give up, allowing Sancho a starting spot on the right wing.
18% of supporters suggested Rashford should give up the top XI, while the remaining 11% argued for Martial’s removal from the preferred starting lineup.
Responding to the social media poll, one fan explained why he chose Greenwood as a player to leave the squad: “Greenwood is becoming a great sub / a great replacement because players need rest or are injured because he can. play across the front line. ”
While another argued that none of the players were specifically dropped: “They are all young and will have games. Greenwood can replace Martial in the middle or Sancho on the right. If Rashford is absent, Martial can move left and Greenwood. like CF. ”
