Gabriel Magalhaes could turn into a Manchester United player within days, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has impressed Lille’s Ligue 1 side this season, attracting interest from across Europe.
Napoli and Everton are reportedly keen to strike a deal for the defender with Man United.
L’Equipe reported this weekend that five clubs have submitted offers for Magalhaes, the three mentioned above and two more.
Napoli are said to be leading the race for the Brazilian.
Italian journalist Emanuele Cammaroto had a different take on the situation, however, and said it was United who were in the lead and a deal could be reached “in the next few days”.
The report claims the Serie A club have made an offer of around £ 20million while the Red Devils stand at £ 24.3million against an additional £ 1.8million in bonuses.
The center-back made 24 appearances in the shortened Ligue 1 season as Lille finished in fourth place.
Magalhaes joined Lille in 2017 for around £ 1.5million and has had loans with Troyes and Dinamo Zagreb.
Arsenal also reportedly watched the defender in January, but reportedly have other priorities this summer.
