An allegedly drunken man wielding a knife was shot dead as he accosted a Phoenix policeman while threatening to “slit” his throat in a supermarket parking lot, wild videos.
In footage released by Phoenix Police, the man repeatedly threatens to stab a police officer during an encounter that shows the man charging at the officer.
A 911 call details how a “drunken man with a knife” threatened customers inside, police said in a statement.
When a police officer intervened on the scene, he can be heard on the video ordering the man to “drop the knife” and “put it on the ground!”

The man defies the officer’s orders and approaches her aggressively as she attempts to defuse the situation while walking backwards around her cruise vehicle with her gun in hand.

Jon David Brouseau, 55, who survived the shooting, faces aggravated assault charges.
