One man was shot and another stabbed in an attack near Hyde Park in London – just one mile from where a man was fatally injured in another knife attack hours earlier .

One of the victims, a man in his 20s, is believed to be in serious but stable condition with a gunshot wound from the shooting at Upper Berkeley Street near Marble Arch in the early hours of Sunday morning .

A second victim, also in their 20s, was also taken to hospital with a stab wound and head injury as a result of the incident around 2 a.m. today.

Police say the second man’s injuries do not appear to be life threatening at this time.

A police cordon is now in place as detectives investigate the incident.

Metropolitan Police said a man was arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs.

The incident comes after the arrest of three men after the death of a teenager in a stab in “broad daylight” on Oxford Street in London.

The teenager’s next of kin have been informed by police, who have confirmed that a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

The Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command launched a murder investigation and arrested three men. No further details have yet been given.
