Lockdown changes in Scotland with schools reopening in Northern Ireland TODAY and deaths reach 41,423


A NUMBER of key lock changes take effect in Scotland today, allowing many activities that have been banned for months to resume.

Bingo halls, funfairs, gaming halls, casinos and billiards halls will be allowed to reopen and driving lessons may resume. Live events such as concerts and comedy will also be allowed.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland is expected to reopen schools today for the first time since March.

Students in grades 7, 12 and 14 of elementary school – whose exam preparation was disrupted by the lockdown – and all vulnerable children must return to class.

All other students will start the new school year the week of August 31st.

It comes as the UK death toll rose to 41,429 today, with one more death in England reported.
