Le Liverpool FC a conclu la signature de l'arrière gauche Kostas Tsimikas de l'Olympiacos pour un contrat à long terme.L'international grec de 24 ans, sélectionné à trois reprises par son pays, rejoint les champions de Premier League après avoir signé un accord à Melwood aujourd'hui.
Tsimikas made his senior debut for Olympiacos in December 2015 and made 86 appearances for the Greek team in all competitions.
More than half of those games took place in 2019-2020, with the defender helping his club reclaim the domestic title by a margin of 18 points.
He will now team up with his new team-mates as Jürgen Klopp’s side prepare for the next campaign and the defense of his Premier League title.
“I am very happy, I am very proud to be here. For me, [it’s] the biggest club in the world. It is an honor to be here and I will do my best, ”Tsimikas told Liverpoolfc.com in an exclusive interview after completing his transfer.
“The league here, I like it a lot. I watch it on TV and it was always a dream that I had as a kid to come and play in this league and be successful.
“With a lot of work and focus on what I’m doing and what the coach wants, and every day working hard in training, I can be at the top level.

Tsimikas was loaned to Danish side Esbjerg and Dutch side Willem II earlier in his career, starting all but two league games for the latter in the 2017-18 campaign.
He made his senior international debut for Greece in October 2018 after also representing his country at the U19 and U21 levels previously.
The defender will wear the No.21 shirt for Liverpool.
