“United weighing in on Schmeichel”
It’s the romantic rumor that never goes away, yes Manchester United are considering moving for Kasper Schmeichel again, the Sun reports.
David de Gea didn’t have the best time of the end, and the Red Devils are keen to call in a less error-prone goalie (so that means forgetting about Jesse Lingard’s goal from a week ago. ).
But they’re not ready to call Dean Henderson, apparently, and estimate he needs another year or two to be ready.
So Schmeichel is the one they want, because it is cheaper than Jan Oblak.
But would United really pay to take Schmeichel out of the three years left on his contract with City, when he might only be their number one for one or two years?
Would Schmeichel be interested if he only had to be number one for a year or two? He’s not the kind of goalie who is happy to be a substitute.
