Leeds United are keeping a close eye on Liverpool youngster Yasser Larouci but are unwilling to meet the Reds’ financial demands, according to The Athletic.
The Whites are looking to strengthen their squad this summer to be ready for the Premier League kickoff in September.
Leeds are looking to strengthen their left-back options and have focused on optional Liverpool talent Larouci.
The Reds caught the Frenchman from Le Havre in 2017 and the defender played ten times for the Under-23s of the Premier League champions last season.
He also made his senior debut and played twice in the FA Cup for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Leeds are monitoring his development and want to take him to Elland Road this summer.
He is in the final year of his contract with Liverpool and a move away from the club is a possibility.
However, Leeds are reluctant to hit the asking price that Liverpool slapped Larouci on the head.
With the transfer window now open, Leeds are linked with a host of potential signings.
