Former Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny congratulated his former teammates after the Gunners beat Chelsea to win the FA Cup final on Saturday.

Mikel Arteta’s side scored an early goal as Christian Pulisic opened the scoring for Chelsea in the fifth minute.

But a penalty from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang brought Arsenal up to level before the break, and the striker scored his second of the game in the 67th minute to win the game for the Gunners.

And after Arsenal’s victory, Koscielny sent a congratulatory message to the players by posting on Instagram a photo of the team’s celebrations at Wembley with the caption: ‘Well done boys for the trophy. ”

Koscielny forced his departure from Arsenal last summer and angered Gunners fans by removing the club’s jersey during his transfer announcement video with Bordeaux.

Former Arsenal striker Ian Wright said at the time that Koscielny should be ashamed of his actions.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla has also sent a message to the players following their latest FA Cup victory. The Spanish midfielder, who joined Qatari side Al Sadd from Villarreal last month, posted a photo of the Arsenal team’s celebration photo on Instagram with the caption: “Well done boys one of more for all of you! “

After winning Arsenal’s 14th FA Cup trophy, Arteta hailed it as the greatest moment of his career.

‘I think so. I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished because I know the difficulties and everything we’ve been through, ”said the Arsenal manager after the game.

“For me personally, it has been so difficult the past six months because of so many things that have happened in our lives.

“But I had only one mission when I came here and that was to make the players and the staff believe that we could do it. We had to change that energy and that mentality.

“Just seeing them all together in the locker room, the way they appreciate professionalism and the time they spend together… that makes me more proud and that’s a consequence of that, that after we can accomplish things and win titles together.
