Klassroom: an inclusive and engaging basis for parent-teacher communication that enables deeper involvement in children’s school life.
Klassroom provides a distance learning, video conferencing and homework management platform in an intuitive format for parents and educators. Klassroom specifically addresses the needs of educators while providing the level of engagement and ease of use found on popular online social platforms. When a teacher starts using the app in a classroom, other teachers in the school join in very quickly and easily. Teachers can create a new class in minutes and invite parents to access class feed posts including announcements, homework, videos, activity photos, polls, events, documents, etc.
The level of engagement of Klassroom parents is exceptional: more than 90% are monthly active users. Parents can react to messages, contact the teacher for dates, or engage in private conversations using tools designed to strengthen parent-teacher relationships while protecting teacher time. Klassroom can translate all messages and private messages between parents and teachers into 100 different languages, and Klassroom can also accommodate the visually impaired. Each parent or guardian can be involved – even in multiple households.
“We are grateful for the support of our investors and we appreciate the dedication of our employee and educator ambassadors to help us reach this exciting inflection point for Klassroom,” said Frank-David Cohen, Co-founder and CEO of Klassroom. “Communication between parents and teachers is essential for the academic and socio-emotional growth of children during the early years, and this is especially true when COVID-19 or other factors cause interruptions in the school routine. Impactful communication will always be at the center of gravity ”of our app. ”
About the class
Class co-founders Frank-David Cohen and Damien Rottemberg have been friends since childhood and planned that one day they would build something together to make a positive difference in the world. This opportunity presented itself in 2016 when the two were divorced fathers who found themselves estranged from their children’s education and wanting to be better connected.
In Paris and New York respectively, Frank-David and Damien provided the first prototype Klassroom application to teachers of their young children. The result was the same on both sides of the Atlantic: enthusiastic teacher adoption and a 95% parent view rate on all classroom communications.
By listening carefully to the needs of the teachers, Klassroom has maintained an almost perfect rate of satisfaction. The Klassroom app is now used in thousands of English, French and Spanish speaking classrooms in 30 countries.
