Kanye, 43, has sought solace in the rugged mountains of his Wyoming retirement since he was in the midst of a bipolar episode, which saw him punch Kim in a vicious rant on Twitter.
He has seemed much calmer since arriving in Wyoming, but he is determined to pursue his presidential bid, although the Kardashians have reportedly tried to dissuade him from doing so.
Kanye spent “time with her daddy daughter” with North, seven, after Kim returned home from Cody with three of their children – Saint, four, Chicago, two and 15 months, Psalm.
North has now joined his mother in Los Angeles and a source tells PEOPLE that Kanye has stayed because Wyoming “is where he wants to live.”
Kim, on the other hand, is “happy to be back” to Los Angeles, the source saying she finds it “difficult to travel with the kids for so long.”
There is still a question mark over Kim and Kanye’s long-term future but the source continued, “Kim still seems focused on making her marriage work.
“She’s pretty quiet about her exact plans for the future, but for now she seems to agree with Kanye living in Wyoming.
“He is moving forward with the presidential campaign. It is a decision that no one can change their mind about. ”
Kanye West’s controversial comments
It’s been a tough time for Kim and Kanye lately, with the rapper claiming in his Twitter rant that he “had been trying to divorce her for two years.”
Kim was apparently ready to quit before having an emotional reunion with her husband and “now wants to do whatever she can to save her marriage.”
