The photos published during Barack Obama’s visit to Kensington Palace in 2016 offered a “rare glimpse” into the family life of Prince William and Kate, according to a royal expert. Sunday Times editor-in-chief Roya Nikkhah discussed True Royalty’s Royal Beat ‘defining moment’, and the reaction. The then US President had paid a brief visit to the UK with his wife, Michelle, and joined the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as Prince Harry for dinner at the residence.
The Duke and Duchess have lived at Kensington Palace since 2013, when they made the move permanent.
The Obamas’ visit was capped by meeting Prince George, who had remained awake after bedtime.
