In a recent conversation with Barkha Dutt, Kareena was asked whether she had been called the “ultimate Bollywood insider”. Speaking of which, Kareena said that 21 years of her career would not have happened just because of nepotism. She said everyone used to attack people without understanding the big picture. She added that people think if you have a name, a celebrity, or money, they are bad. She said: “21 years of work would not have happened just with nepotism. It is not possible. I can take a long list of superstars kids that couldn’t have happened to them that way. She added that a doctor’s son would also like to be like his parents.

Additionally, she said Bollywood is the greatest voice to talk about anything and is also the easy target as it becomes an interesting watch for people to see actors talking to each other. Additionally, she spoke of being privileged because of her membership in the Kapoor family. She said the idea was to keep moving forward and work hard. Additionally, Kareena said she doesn’t see she has anything due to her privileged background. She said, “It might sound strange, but my struggle is probably here. My struggle is there but it’s not as interesting as someone who comes with only Rs 10 in his pocket on a train. Yeah, it wasn’t that and I can’t apologize for it.

Plus, Kareena even said it’s the audience that makes or breaks a star. She said, “The audience created us, no one else created us. The same people who are pointing fingers are the ones who created these nepotist stars, right? Aap jaa re ho na film dekhne? Mat jao. Nobody forced you. So I don’t understand. I find this whole discussion completely strange. The idea is that today so many of our biggest stars that you have chosen whether it is Akshay Kumar or Shah Rukh Khan or Ayushmann Khurrana or Rajkummar Rao, they are all outsiders. They are successful actors because they worked hard. We have also worked very hard. Whether it’s Alia Bhatt or Kareena Kapoor, we’ve also worked hard. You watch us and enjoy our films. So it’s the public that makes us or breaks us. ”

Kareena currently spends her time at home with Saif Ali Khan and his son Taimur Ali Khan. One day back she celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the whole Kapoor family where Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor also joined. In terms of work, Kareena will be seen next at Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan. The film is an official adaptation of Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks.
