John W Henry enters Liverpool fans after ‘extraordinary’ Premier League win


Liverpool main owner John W Henry says he is unsure whether Fenway Sports Group is telling club fans how appreciated they are as an American bathed in the Reds’ Premier League title success.FSG have become the owners to end Liverpool’s 30-year wait for a top-flight title, which has been secured this season with a whopping 99 points.

And Henry paid tribute to manager Jurgen Klopp, his behind-the-scenes team, players and fans whose historic success he spoke of.

” I just want to say [to the supporters] that you’ve waited a long time for this and I know we all need to celebrate responsibly, but it really feels like a gift that keeps on giving, ”Henry told LFCTV.

Liverpool lifted their 19th league title season

“Every day I get up, it is in the foreground that we have won [in] England at last. So this is my wish for you, that every morning you get up for the next one, as long as you can accomplish it, think about what we have accomplished this year in Europe, England and hope you are feeling as proud as me.

Henry then thanked Klopp and his team for bringing the club together.

“It’s pretty amazing to be involved on a daily basis with people who are really talented and really committed to what they do,” he added.

Henry praised everyone at the club

“The fact that these are the kind of people – Jurgen and Mike [Gordon] and michael [Edwards] and Tom [Werner] and Peter [Moore]. They are an extraordinary group.

“To the staff, the players, all of you who have put in so much effort over the past two years, I just want to say thank you on behalf of all of us at Fenway Sports Group.

“I know you get that from the fans, I don’t know if you get enough of it from us but we really appreciate everything you’ve done this year, the last two years. Thank you. “
