Fees between Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund and personal terms with Jadon Sancho have yet to be agreed

Manchester United are determined not to be bullied in a deal with Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

United consider the German club’s € 120million (£ 108million) assessment for the player under the current coronavirus conditions ‘unrealistic’ for a player who Dortmund himself has signed for 7.2million of books three years ago.

United are also unwilling to break their pay structure for the 20-year-old following Alexis Sanchez’s unsuccessful transfer.

Raphael Honigstein said the last Transfert Talk podcast: “There is no doubt that it would be a huge improvement over what they have, especially if you think about the traditional importance of width in the United squad. “The stats for a 20-year-old are incredible in terms of goals scored and assisted last season in a fairly talented Dortmund side. The flip side of this conversation is that Dortmund want to make a very careful calculation which is similar. to the one Leverkusen does for Havertz.

“Manchester United keep saying they’re just in talks. It’s a bit of a blur where both parties will try to get the best deal possible. There is a lot of poker and double bluffing going on, but now it’s up to United to say ‘here’s the money’. “
