Sancho hit 16 goals and 17 assists for Dortmund in the German top flight in 2019/20, and he has also scored four more times in the Champions League.
Such a form has caught the attention of many top European clubs, but it is United who are leading the queue to sign the 20-year-old, and he is looking forward to a move to Old Trafford this summer. .
Getting Sancho away from Dortmund won’t be easy, with record-breaking fees from the club almost certainly necessary if United are to secure the winger’s signing.
Here are all the latest media reports on Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.
MEN: Where are United on Sancho’s move?
Our Manchester United chief writer Samuel Luckhurst has took a full picture of the state of affairs on Sancho’s move to Manchester United.
It is understood that Sancho is the Reds’ main target this summer, having missed his signing 12 months ago after failing to secure Champions League football.
United initially wanted to sign the England star directly from rivals ManchesterCity three years ago but, unsurprisingly, their attempts were blocked.
Sancho ended up moving to Borussia Dortmund and now, three years later, a move to Manchester’s red side is likely with United, the winger’s preferred destination.
Dortmund have informed that their asking price is € 120m (£ 108m) – which would be a club and Premier League record, as well as record fees for a British player.
With no other club for Sancho at this price, United effectively have a free run.
However, MEN Sport understands that he has yet to make an offer and that he will remain patient in his pursuit despite the perceived fear tactics that Dortmund are using.
MEN: Giggs urges United to sign Sancho
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has urged his former club to come out and sign Sancho this summer, as well as Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.
Sancho tops United’s summer shopping list, MEN Sport understands it, and Giggs believes the 20-year-old has the talent to thrive at Old Trafford.
Speaking to Webby and O’Neill, United legend Giggs explained: “Sancho is quick, straightforward but also a smart player.
“What I like about him is that when he gets into those areas for the final ball he doesn’t panic, which a lot of wide players sometimes do.
“He picks the right pass and is someone who can counterattack if we want to play that, but also, if a team pulls out he can beat the players and shake things up.
“Two signatures (Sancho and Grealish) that may be available and, if they are and we are able to get them, then I would go and get them. “
MEN: United to receive notice if Dortmund replace Sancho
Manchester United will be informed by French side Lyon if Borussia Dortmund approach Memphis Depay, who has been tipped to replace the England star if he completes his transfer to Old Trafford.
Depay was sold to Lyon in January 2017 by former Reds boss Jose Mourinho after failing to make a substantial impact in his 53 appearances for the club.
However, wary of the Dutch international’s potential, United inserted a buyout clause into the deal that gives them the first denial on the 26-year-old if Lyon decide to sell.
That moment could come this summer after the Ligue 1 club missed European football.
Dortmund have been credited with the interest by German store Bild but, if they made an offer for Depay, Lyon would be obliged to inform United.
