The news broke yesterday (August 27) after weeks of speculation over the Conwy estate.
I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! The brand’s move marks the first time the show has been in Australia.
This means that Ant & Dec – along with a host of celebrities – will soon be spending their time in North Wales.
They will be supported by production teams – ITV now calling on local talents to join the project.
Vacancies for several running positions have just been posted online, it has been revealed.
The ad was posted on TV Conwy Community Forum, a Facebook page for media professionals.
He says ITV is looking for regional runners in North Wales – likely for I’m a Celebrity.
Several contract start dates are available, ranging from next week (August 31) to November 2020.
This suggests that the series won’t be filming between November and December, as it typically does.
And while many in the region will be interested in working on the set, there are certain job criteria.
The announcement says that applications will only be accepted from those living in seven towns in North Wales or an English town on the border.
Ce sont: Abergele, Llandudno, Conwy, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Wrexham et Chester.
However, those who apply must already have six months of continuous experience.
And ideally, they should have the experience of supporting an on-site crew.
A number of roles are available and some will require driving, although this is “not essential”.
Applicants must indicate if they are able to drive and if they are over 21 years old on their application.
To apply, send an email to [email protected] with the subject “North Wales Runner”.
A cover letter should be included in the email which includes the following:
- your phone number
- availability confirmation
- confirmation that you live within 10 miles of one of the areas listed
- all runner credits
- details of the whereabouts experience you have as a runner
- where you heard about the job (specify the work site or group)
- names and contact details of two references
The ad advises applicants not to contact ITV or the relevant agencies with any questions.
He specifies that only candidates preselected for a vacant post will be contacted by the recruiters of the project.
I’m a Celebrity – live from Gwrych Castle in Abergele – will air this fall on ITV.
