Claim: France’s farewell to Rafael in Indian tricolor.

Fact: The video was shot in the Altare della Patria building in Rome (Italy). Additionally, the tricolors in the video represent the Italian flag, not the Indian flag. The air show in the video is a demonstration by the Italian Air Force acrobatic team called “Freece Tricolor” (tricolor arrows) and it usually takes place on Republic of Italy Day. Therefore, the claim made in the message is FAUX.

When we submitted the screenshots from the video to Google’s reverse image search, we found that the air show in the video was performed by the Italian Air Force aerobatic team called “Freece Tricolori” (Tricolor arrows) and is usually held on the day of the Republic of Italy. Some more photos of ‘Freece Tricolori’ can be seen here. The three colors (green, white, red) in the “Freece Colori” represent the Italian flag.

When we searched YouTube using the keywords “Italian Air Force Altae Della Patria tricolori,” many videos like the one in the post came up. One of these videos can be seen here. With this we can conclude that the video is related to the celebrations of the feast of the Italian Republic and has nothing to do with France and Rafael.

Flag of Italy:

Similar news, attributing the video to that of India’s Independence Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square, London was debunked by FACTLY earlier, which can be played here.

To sum up, the video of the Italian Air Force air show is falsely shared as the farewell to Rafael by France in Indian tricolor.
