WINNIPEG – An inmate has escaped from the Eagle Women’s Lodge in Winnipeg. The Correctional Service of Canada said Nikki Alfonso, 31, was observed by staff leaving the premises of the multi-level security women’s healing lodge around 10:10 p.m. Sunday.
CSC said it immediately contacted the Winnipeg Police Department and an arrest warrant had been issued.
Alfonso is currently serving a four-year and six-month sentence on a number of charges, including assaults with a weapon and equipment that benefited from sexual services.
CSC described Alfonso as being five feet four inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. She has brown eyes, brown hair, and a tattoo of black stars near her right eye.
Anyone with information on Alfonso’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
