Ground beef shipped to southern retailers recalled for “high health risk”

North American distributors have beef with the meat industry. JBS Food Canada, ULC on Friday recalled more than 38,000 pounds of beef products after they were not re-inspected upon entering the United States. And turning up the heat doesn’t seem like the answer here.

According to the organization official announcement.

This recall involves 80-pound boxes of 10-pound ground beef packages that were sent to distributors in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina before being sent to retail outlets . To date, no cases of adverse effects related to meat consumption have been reported in these regions. However, the USDA recommends proceeding with caution and discarding any product that may be contaminated.

And, as if 2020 couldn’t be a more anxiety-provoking year, contamination of ground beef has been all too common lately. In June, Walmart had to recall 40,000 pounds of grass-fed beef due to potential electronic coil contamination. Some of your chicken products might not be safe either. At least the processed form. Additionally, later in June, the USDA recalled nearly 60,000 pounds of Pilgrims Chicken Nuggets.

Fortunately, there are plenty of ideas for hearty vegetarian meals and vegan substitutes that won’t let you miss the meat for your summer barbecues. If you need a quick and easy option, these store-bought vegetarian options should satisfy any craving.
