‘Go get them’ – Man United legend asks Solskjaer to complete Aston Villa move

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs believes his former side are set to sign Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund this summer. The pair have been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford with reports claiming Sancho is a priority for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The form of Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba could prompt United transfer chiefs to rethink the possibility of stepping in for another playmaker and a winger in Sancho’s mold could become a more desirable player.

Nonetheless, Giggs believes that Grealish, who was reportedly valued at £ 80million by Villa, would be an ideal signing for his former side.

Grealish has just completed his first top-flight season after three seasons away and has scored eight goals and recorded six assists in 36 appearances.

“They’re two good players,” Giggs told the ‘Webby and O’Neill’ podcast.

“The thing with Grealish is he’s obviously used to the Premier League and doesn’t need to adapt to it. To me, looking from the outside, he seems to have the mentality to come here and he doesn’t mind.

“Some players can be intimidated, but I don’t think that would impress him.

“The good thing this year is that he scored 10 goals and got a double digit which is the only question mark I would have had with him, is he scoring enough goals? ”

“Getting to double the numbers without penalties is impressive. ”

Sancho has also been linked and Giggs believes United should sign them both.

“Sancho is fast, straightforward but also a smart player,” added Giggs.

“What I like about him is that when he gets into those areas for the final ball he doesn’t panic, which a lot of wide players sometimes do.

“He picks the right pass and is someone who can counterattack if we want to play that, but also, if a team pulls out he can beat the players and shake things up.

“Two signatures that may be available and, if they are and we are able to get them, then I would go get them. “
