PARIS (Reuters) – The French counter-terrorism prosecutor said on Monday that he had opened an investigation into murder after gunmen killed six French aid workers in an animal park in Niger on Sunday.

A French military source said French and Nigerien soldiers searched a wildlife reserve in and around Niger for traces of gunmen who also killed a Nigerien guide and a local driver.
