France calls for transparent investigation into suspected Navalny poisoning


PARIS (Reuters) – The French Foreign Ministry on Tuesday called for an independent and transparent investigation into the alleged intoxication of Russian opposition figure Alexei Navalny”It is vital that the Russian authorities conduct a swift and transparent investigation to establish the circumstances under which this act was committed,” the ministry said in a statement.

French President Emmanuel Macron said last week that France was ready to provide Navalny with all necessary assistance, including asylum.
