Four PIA flights announced to bring stranded Pakistanis back to France


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airline (PIA) said it would operate four flights to bring stranded Pakistanis back to France, a national daily reported Wednesday.

According to a spokesperson for PIA, flights will be operated between August 15 and 30 to bring back Pakistanis stranded in France due to lockdowns imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic. According to details, a four-flight schedule has been established between Islamabad and Paris under which flights will be operated from Islamabad on August 16 and 30 and from Paris on August 15 and 29.

In a notification, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said operations would resume from August 9. “Regular international flights to / from Pakistan will revert to authorizations according to the summer 20 programming season,” said the notice to airmen. The notification also stated that operations should be conducted in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
