Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly ‘backed down’ on his previous insistence that Jadon Sancho be signed, with five alternatives named in the latest report.

Pursuit of the Red Devils Jadon Sancho has become the story of summer transfers.

The Borussia Dortmund hierarchy has made a strong statement insisting the England superstar will not be leaving this year. Even though a transfer expert was convinced that the agreement is “not over by far”.

Independently, Male Utd had to keep pushing for the purchase with Sancho undoubtedly their number one goal.

But with little progress being made, the Norwegian has now “backed down” on his earlier insistence.

Solskjaer is now “ready to consider alternatives” this summer, with The evening standard citing five potential replacements.

Ailier du Bayern Munich Kingsley Coman is the first man named, with the late arrival of Leroy Sane in Munich the Frenchman in the pecking order.

Barcelona leader Ousmane Dembele is rated again, although the 23-year-old’s injury history is concerning.

17-year-old prodigy Ansu Fati is also speculated in Barcelona, although it should cost even more than Sancho.
