The exterior of one of the Black Country’s largest malls is undergoing a multi-million pound makeover.The major project – which costs more than £ 10million – will see the walls and entrances of the Brierley Hill-based center redeveloped.

It is expected to be completed in the spring of next year, a spokesperson revealed.

Local contractor Mac is doing the redevelopment and will replace siding, remodel entryways and use energy-saving LED lighting that changes the color of the walls outside the center.

This eye-catching overhaul comes after center owner intu Properties fell into administration.

But the popular mall said it has seen major investments from an abundance of well-known fashion brands, independent retailers and restaurants over the past 12 months, including the arrival of luxury retailer Flannels and from women’s fashion label Apricot, which were last opened. month.

In total, 93% of stores have reopened since lockdown restrictions were relaxed and, with restaurants also open, bosses said footfall continued to rise in the center.
