Fans react on Twitter to first posting of Rangers loaned to Ross McCrorie

Rangers fans will be debating whether the decision to let Ross McCrorie leave Ibrox will come back to haunt Steven Gerrard’s side or not since he left earlier this week.

McCrorie is technically still a Gers player. However, he appears to have made his final appearance for the club with Sky Sports reporting that his loan transfer to Aberdeen will become permanent next summer.

And Dons fans got their first glimpse of the youngster on Thursday as he made his debut in a Scottish Premiership clash with St Johnstone.

In truth, it was an extremely poor game. Derek McInnes’ men won 1-0 with a deflected effort in the second half.

However, McCrorie’s display has left many Aberdeen supporters optimistic that he will prove to be a fantastic signing.

The 22-year-old was deployed in several roles throughout the game. He was used as a center back and as a right back during the competition.

There were some significant challenges from McCrorie. And he seemed to stay disciplined enough to get the job done.

It might not have been the kind of night that allowed McCrorie to prove a huge point to the Rangers. But he managed to do enough to impress Aberdeen fans.
